On October 26th I set out to raise $2000 to pursue a little passion project and hopefully spread the word about the Awesomeness of Pies. Well, here we are, 35 days later, and 599 of you have come together to raise a whopping $32,146 (smashing every stretch goal on the way) and make this pie dream a reality! Blown away. I am.
I’m delighted we’ve surpassed the funding goal 16 times over, but I am even more delighted to learn that there are soooo many more Pie Nerds out there in the wide world than I ever imagined. Pie dessert-supremacy is imminent. Imminent I say!
I’m very excited to now have the opportunity to bring my Pie Guides and Powder Guide Kits to market, annnnnd super excited I get to produce the Pies Are Awesome Official Cookbook (the $10,000 stretch goal). I have so many neat-o tips, tricks, and designs in my noggin for that already… You also unlocked the “Pies Are Awesome Art Nouveau Colouring Book” and web video series - so you can keep an eye out for those, as well as my usual weekly geek pie tutorials over at piesareawesome.com.
But what I am super *dooper* keyed up for is getting to see and share all of the awesome pie designs to come from all of you! What weird and wonderful mashup masterpieces are lurking in your minds and kitchens? I’ve no doubt they will be beautiful and gross and adorable and bizarre… and I can’t wait!
In the days to come I will be following up with updates about my progress with the manufactures, as well as loads (well, not “loads.” a reasonable amount) of announcements about special draws and giveaways - including the Nikola Telsa Powder Guide Kit ya’ll have been asking about! I’ll also have sneak peeks of prototypes for new designs that you can weigh in on and vote for (or against)… because we’ve only just begun.
Finally, my heart felt thank yous to all of you - my fellow Pie-oneers - for all your support, encouragement creative suggestions and… well, gosh… just everything! Until the next update…

We passed $31,415.92 with 17 hours to spare! Ya’ll Rock! You know what that means, dontcha? Ninja Bunnies Pie Guides for All!!*

Well ladies and gents, tomorrow is the last full day for the Pie Guides campaign... and we're just $1000 away from hitting our final stretch goal! Now You Can Give Pie Guides for Christmas & Hanukkah *THIS* Year! Here’s How…

So many people told me they would reeeeally love to give Pie Guides as a gift to the nerdy bakers in their lives this year. Well now you can! On Nov 30th, I will post a private backer update with a download link to a special printable "gift announcement" card. In it you can tick off the Guide(s) you have purchased and add your own message to your giftee. They'll be able to see exactly what they've got coming to them AND you'll still have something physical to wrap up. As is tradition. You can get really creative and stick the card in an oven mitt stocking or pie pan w. ingredients, baking tools, action figures, etc.
We're in the home stretch people... Three days left and only $6k away from our final stretch goal (the one where everyone over $50 gets a FREE Ninja Bunnies Pie Guide. It's ardorab-violent.) Thank you for all your support thus far! It has been truly incredible to see the reaction to my Pie Guides and awesome to learn that I am far from the only nerdy pie-lover out there in the world. I can't wait to ship out your Guides and check out YOUR glorious Pie-oneering experiments... The countdown begins!

The 3 New Powder Guides Revealed + 2 New Pledge Levels

Happy Monday party people! Two special announcements today:
Announcement 1: I have created two new Pledge Levels - the “Two Pie Guides of Your Choice” level, and the “One Powder Guide and One Pie Guide” level.
I had originally wanted to keep the levels as slim and simple as possible, but after the 20th person asked me if they could order
two Pie Guides, or one Pie Guide and one Powder Guide, I figured I had better rethink that. As always, your wish is my command!
Unless I don’t like your wish.
But this wish was okay.
Announcement 2: I have completed the prototypes for the three new Powder Guide Kits that ya’ll unlocked by getting us to the 1000% funded mark…
and here they are! Presenting… "Eye Brain Eater," "Retro Rockets", and "Mr. Puggy Face" (note: Mr. Puggy Face has both a smiling and serious muzzle option.)
You wanted cute, you wanted gross, you wanted retro… you got it!
Now anyone who has pledged at any level which includes a Powder Guide Kit can select from these three, in addition to the existing "Steampunk Caravan" and "Math Butterflies" Powder Guide Kits.
(Psst! You can use Powder Guide Kits to make cookies too! But don’t tell anyone. I’ll get in trouble with the pie gods.)
