“The Official Pies Are Awesome Cookbook” stretch goal has been achieved!
over 7 years ago – Sat, Oct 29, 2016 at 10:00:32 PM

Well we’re mid-way through day 4 and you’ve just smashed through all of my stretch goals! With 31 days left in the campaign, I need some new ideas… stat! If I pick your idea I’ll give you an extra shout out on the credits page of my blog :) You can add your stretch goal ideas as a comment to this post.

In other news, a number of you have sent me messages asking me to make my Tesla Powder Guide Kits available as a Pledge Reward. I did a bit of research and discovered that his image is indeed in the public domain now… However, after some thinking I decided it felt wrong to profit off of Tesla’s image. That doesn’t mean I can’t give it away for free though! I’ll just need to do some noodling on how I can do that without violating Kickstarter’s “no contests” rules. Will give it some thought!

In other, other news, here’s what’s been happening on my blog during the campaign:

I will be posting shortly about my NYC adventure on ABC’s The CHEW last week in the “Jessica’s Pie-oneering Tutorials” section. You can have a peek at how I prototype new Powder Guide stencil ideas there.

Once again, thank you for all the love and support (and pie pun suggestions)…

Until the next update!

Day Two Update - First stretch goal achieved!
over 7 years ago – Thu, Oct 27, 2016 at 08:44:35 PM

As we wrap up day two, I am once again humbled and amazed by the incredible reaction to my Pie Guides! While day one saw us blow past the funding goal *in the first hour*, on day two we smashed the first stretch goal... and the second stretch goal is only inches away. Given that we've got 33 days left in the campaign, I am beginning to believe that the "Pies Are Awesome Official Cookbook" stretch goal at $10,000 is not such a wacky dream after all!

Thank you for all the feedback you have provided. I am looking into how I can allow backers to select multiples of the same pie guide at the higher reward levels, and will report back once I've thought of an elegant way to manage those type of orders.

In other news, we received some lovely coverage on Boing Boing last night:

Thank you all for helping me get the word out!

Until the next update!
